Danish roots with strong international relationships

LYNGSØ Information Industry was founded in 1986 by Søren Lyngsø. Søren had spent several years developing solutions, consulting on relational databases and 4GL tools, and managing projects to successful delivery.

We introduced Project Managers Workbench (PMW) in Denmark in 1986 with a comprehensive project management training programme and acquired a market share of 42% of the Project Management Software and Service market. The success was built on our view to customer satisfaction. We delivered quarterly a news letter with the latest improvements in project management techniques and tools - critically aligned with the real needs of our customers. And clients were personally serviced not only on product functionality, but also on how to implement efficient project management solutions. The Danish Fleet movement from Copenhagen to Korsor and Frederikshavn is one good example of this practice.

Our training courses and workshops have seen more that 1000 students since our start in 1986. Since 2000 Søren Lyngsø has devoted time to train major European and Middle East organisations in project management, portfolio management, and programme management.

The PMW success was followed by equally successful implementation of Portfolio Management software such as Clarity - now delivered by Computer Associates, who took over our Danish Clarity activities in 2007. Since 2010 we can deliver PSNext from Sciforma for Project, Programme, and Portfolio Management.

In 1994 we won a EU tender with Danish Defence to implement Facility Management solutions based on a COTS application that we adapted completely to client needs. Implementation, development of additional solutions, and client support was ensured by efficient and lean project management and agile development and implementation.

Our numerous results continue to produce important benefits to users.

Development and implementation of fully integrated solutions has since the start in 1986 been handled through a quality-managed methodology - our LYNGSO Model.
